Gracie Olline Chasteen

Gracie Chasteen, 79, of Amarillo, died Sunday, December 24, 2017. There are no services scheduled at this time. Gracie was born March 29, 1938 in Birmingham, Alabama. She moved to Amarillo in the early 1960's. She made her career of over 30 years working as a nurse's aide in various nursing homes. Her last job was at Georgia Manor Nursing Home. In her spare time, she enjoyed working puzzles in her puzzle books. She attended Cornerstone Church. Gracie was preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Chasteen; her father, Roscoe Butler; her mother, Maggie Campbell; and a granddaughter, Sabrina Hernandez. Survivors include two sons, Larry Butler and Jerry Chasteen both of Amarillo; a daughter, Martha Miller and husband Marshall of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
