Greg was born on November 10, 1974 in Lubbock to Eloy Sr. and Dolores Villarreal. He was raised in Amarillo, where he has been a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was self-employed, working as a window tinter for many years. Greg was known for his outgoing personality and was able to make friends everywhere he went. He was never able to sit still indoors. You could always find Greg out and about in all the seasons. During the cold months, he was always ready to lend a hand. He shoveled snow for friends and pulled people out that were stuck in the snow. The warm months kept Greg outside. Camping was one of his favorite pass times. He was known as the one who could start the campfire. Greg was also a kid at heart. Playing with Hot Wheels, building ramps for bicycles, and riding dirt bikes were just a few of the things he like to do with his three boys. Greg's favorite holiday was Fourth of July. Fireworks and cookouts were his expertise. Most of all, Greg loved his family. He was a devoted father, son, brother and uncle to his family.
He s survived by his parents, Eloy Sr. and Dolores Villarreal of Amarillo; 3 sons, Bretton Villarreal of Amarillo, Braydon Villarreal of Arlington and Keatton Villarreal of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Eloy Villarreal, Jr. of Round Rock and Tim Villarreal of Amarillo; sister, April Smith and husband Mike of Amarillo and nieces and nephews, Carly, Kyle and Sarah "Tater-Tot" Smith and Autumn and Kaylyn Villarreal, all of Amarillo.
