Gwen was born on July 5, 1943 in Amarillo to Alfred and Bonnyea Anderson. She was a lifelong resident of Amarillo and a proud Tascosa Rebel. She married Robert Conner on May 3, 1968 in Miami, OK. Gwen was a loving wife, who adored her husband always. He preceded her in death in 2003. She worked in many trades, including massage therapy. She was a talented musician and was able to master every instrument she touched. Her family always remembers her whistling and singing as she went about her day as well as her incredible search for knowledge sought in the many books she read.
Gwen loved her Jesus and was passionate about her family. She was known as the "call back queen" because of her constant concern about their safety. She had a great love for animals, especially her pet parrots. Her friends and family will miss her contagious laugh as well as her great sense of humor.
Survivors include her two daughters, Holly Conner Nipper and husband Larry of Amarillo and Amanda Conner Taylor and husband P.J. of Amarillo; brother, David Anderson of Canyon; five grandchildren, Joshua Conner Nipper and wife Bethany, Emily Erin Nipper, Breanna Leigh Taylor, Jensen Conner Taylor and Abbi Grace Taylor and great granddaughter, Charlotte Nipper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Conner and her infant daughter.
