Harriett Ware Watkins

Harriett Ware Watkins, 89, of Amarillo, died Saturday, December 29, 2018. Services will be scheduled for a later date. Harriett was born August 20, 1929 in Amarillo to Walter and Harriett Mount. She graduated from Amarillo High School. She married Cornelius Herring “Neal” Ware in 1937. Harriett dedicated her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and nature. Neal passed away in 1963. Twenty years later, Harriett married Donald O. Watkins. They were married for 35 years until his death in February of 2018. She was a member of St. Mark Anglican Church. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include three sons, Arthur Ware and wife Kathy of Amarillo, Charles Ware of California, and Neal Ware of Amarillo; two daughters, Cathleen Ware and Christina Ware both of Amarillo; a brother, Walter Scott Mount of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
