Harrietta “Honey” Hudlin Quincy, 79, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. Memorial services will be Friday, September 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM at St. John’s Baptist Church, 2301 NW 14th Ave.

Harrietta was born on August 25, 1946 in Waco, Texas to Harry and Eartha Hudlin. She married her husband, J. L. Quincy, in November, 1963. She worked as a cook at Heritage Convalescent Center and Ware Memorial Care Center, which she retired from. Harrietta was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who never missed watching a Cowboys game, as well as all her favorite TV shows. She enjoyed cooking and travelling with the family. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Baptist Church.

Harrietta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. She loved babysitting and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She also adored her beloved dogs, Mama and Ronnie. Harrietta had a special bond and shared a deep love with her sisters. She was outspoken but she genuinely loved people and enjoyed getting to know them and hearing about their lives. Harrietta never met a stranger. Honey was a legend on NW 10th Street and will be dearly missed by her family, friends and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.L. Quincy; her daughter, Stephanie Quincy; her son, Reginald Quincy; and her sister, Linda Hood.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Quincy and Dana Quincy both of Amarillo; her step-children, Steve McNeal of Amarillo; Elizabeth Henderson of Lubbock; her sister, Connie Lawson of Tahoka, TX; her brother, Rayford Harris and wife Debbie of Tahoka, TX; her sister-in-law, Darlene Williams and husband Gary of Amarillo; and her eight grandchildren, LaTron Quincy, Kendrick Quincy, Ashlynn Quincy, Myka Jones, Tiffany Marez, Jade Jones, Channing Quincy, and Reginald Quincy; and six great-grandchildren, Olivia, Kaedynce, Kauriee, Kayden, Kaylynn and Jaceion. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
