Harry was born in Newport News, VA. His father was a military man, so they moved several times. The family moved to Texas in 1955 from France. Harry graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1970 where he had played baseball and football. He worked for Levi Strauss, Bell Helicopter, and Norflet, which later became Winair. Harry loved sports. He coached his own sons baseball and football teams while they were growing up. He enjoyed softball, bowling, and fishing in his spare time. In softball, his nickname was Ofer. He loved to travel, and go to professional baseball games. Red River, NM was one of his favorite places to go.
Survivors include three sons, Chris Burrier and wife Becky, Gary Burrier and wife Noemi and Josh Burrier and wife Lindzi all of Amarillo; one brother Kenny Burrier and wife Donna of Amarillo; one sister, Joan Burk of Iowa Park; his mother, Marthel Burrier of Amarillo; his very close friend, Elaine Hall of Amarillo; and nine grandchildren.
