Henry Isaac Hunt Sr.

Henry Isaac Hunt Sr., 78, of Amarillo, passed away on July 25, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Graveside Services will be 9:00 AM Friday July 28, 2023 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Robby Barrett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Henry was born on July 8, 1945 in Bonham, Texas to James and Jewel Hunt. Henry lived in Plainview for many years and later moved to Amarillo. He has been a part of the community for over 30 years.  He was a truck driver for most of his career and was dedicated to taking care of his family. Henry was loved by so many and will be missed. The family would like to acknowledge Patsy and Jerry Green. The Green's and the Hunts were life-long friends and raised their families together. Patsy and Jerry have since passed away.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Judy Cash, Ruby Hemphill and Gertrude Roberts; three brothers, Carroll Hunt, James McCord Hunt and Tommy Hunt; two sons, Darrin Hunt and Billy Ray Hunt; his wife, Sue Hunt in 2017.

Survivors include one son, Henry Hunt Jr. and wife Kathy; two daughters, Tonua Mannin and husband Roland and Jackie Tollett and husband Tony all of Amarillo; two sister in laws, Norma Holley and Dorothea Williams; one brother, Joe Hunt; twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Survivors also include his special friend, Misty Evalee.
