Hilrey Carl Bruns

Hilrey was born Nov. 24, 1969, in Hereford to Herbert and Veradelle Andrews Bruns. He attended Amarillo High School as well as the University of North Texas and West Texas A&M University. His passion was electronics. He loved football, especially Texas Tech and Dallas Cowboys football. He loved his nieces and nephews. He lost the good fight after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father in 1999; and two brothers, Harlan in 2008 and Hal in 2013. Survivors include his mother, Vera and husband Lee Barrett of Amarillo; two sisters, Jan Hazelwood and husband Greg of Corsicana and Julie Hawkins and husband Gary of Keller; his nieces and nephews, Brittany, Brian, Burkleigh, Brandon, Zachary, Taylor, Emily, Sarah and Devin; several cousins and other family he loved very much.
