Ila B. Mallow

Ila was born September 12, 1936 in Floydada to Tressie and D.O. McCracken. She married the love of her life Harold Wayne Mallow in Amarillo December 24, 1953, and together, shared 63 years of marriage. She was an avid arts and crafts enthusiast and belonged to the Arts Unlimited Club. Her specialty was painting, jewelry and crocheting afghans. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at their mountain cabin in New Mexico. Many wonderful hours of family fun was to be had by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, D.O. and Tressie McCracken and by her step mother, Ora McCracken. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold; her children, Sue White and husband Nathan, Angela Joseph and husband Ron, Teresa Brown, and Linda Gilley all of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; her siblings, Virginia Gibson, Carolyn Nall and husband Jackie all of Amarillo and Larry McCracken and wife Donna of south Texas.
