Inez (Madril) Tafoya

Inez Madril Tafoya, 73, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020. Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Tuesday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Pastor Spike Maldonado of New Life Church officiating.  Inez was born December 17, 1946 in Duran, New Mexico to Santiago and Nora Madril. She grew up in Roswell, New Mexico. She married Joe C. Tafoya on February 15, 1965. They shared 40 years together until his death in 2005. Inez dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was the co-owner of Texas Ironing and Unique Ironing. In her spare time, she loved to play bingo and enjoyed watching westerns and soap operas. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Inez was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe C. Tafoya; a brother, Tony Madril; and a grandson, Joey Dean Tafoya.  Survivors include two daughters, Josephine Cisneros and fiancé Carlos Sanchez, and Valorie Huling all of Amarillo; two sons, Joseph Tafoya and wife Marlene, and Pat Tafoya all of Amarillo; three sisters, Eufemia Romero of Roswell, NM, Mary Zamora of Arizona, and Eva Aragon of Roswell, NM; four brothers, Ambrose Madril and wife Josephine of Arizona, James Madril and wife Jennifer of Montana, Lou Madril and wife Noemi, and Arnold Madril and wife Clara all of Roswell, NM; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
