Irene Louise Hudson

Irene was born on October 28, 1946 in Blackwell, OK to Ermil and Laura Chitwood. She married Frances Hudson on April 26, 1961 in Blackwell, OK. He preceded her in death in 2006. Together they moved to Amarillo in 1973. Irene worked for United Supermarkets for over 12 years, retiring this year. She was very computer proficient, loved to read and enjoyed traveling as she was able. Above all, she was a loving mother, known to be tough, but fair and was considered the anchor in her family. She is survived by her 2 sons, Randy Hudson of Amarillo and Rick Hudson and wife Erica of Los Alamos, NM; daughter, Laura Hatten and husband Raymond of Amarillo; brother, Gary Chitwood of Blackwell, OK; 5 grandchildren, Mark Hatten, Violet Hatten and Mike Arnold, Alan Hatten, Eric Hudson and Ryan Hudson and 4 great Grandchildren, Dylan Hatten, Gavin Arnold, Brekken Arnold and Dowlen Arnold and many close friends whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ernie Hudson in 2000 and husband, Frances Hudson in 2006
