Jack Kirby, Jr.

Jack was born November 7, 1924 in Clarita, OK. He grew up in Olustee, OK and graduated from Olustee High School. Under his dad's apprenticeship, he became a well known and loved barber. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp July 5, 1943. He participated in the Pacific Theatre in Saipan, Tinian, and Okinawa and in the occupation of Japan and discharged January 21, 1946. Jack married Marie Sain August 1, 1946 and together they were the proud parents of son, Terry Kirby and daughter, Linda Kirby Branum. June 9, 1979, he married Angelene Pickard. In this marriage he gained four stepsons, Jerry, Steve, Jimmy and Bobby Pickard. He and Angie had the privilege of assisting in raising Alex and Zachary Pickard. He was a loving husband, father, friend and grandpa. One of his greatest joys was taking family on lake trips, and he enjoyed fishing, boating and water skiing. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Angie; son, Terry Kirby; daughter, Linda Branum; 4 step sons, Jerry, Bobby, Jimmy and Steve Pickard; 20 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy; brother, Gene; Infant daughter, Tanya Jan Kirby; nephew, Walter and granddaughter, Kelli.
