Jack Luse, 77, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014.
Jack was born on December 3, 1936 in Luzerne, Iowa to Joseph and LeNora Luse. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as a nurse administering anesthesia at Vietnam. After war, he returned to Amarillo. Jack worked as an anesthetist in hospitals as well as for Dr. Kellaher and Dr. Piskin. Jack moved to Red River, where he owned and operated River Ranch Lodge in Red River in the late 1970's through the early 1980's. He returned to Amarillo where he continued his work as an anesthetist until his retirement in 2011. He has been married to his wife Sonya for 9 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya Luse of Amarillo; daughter, Hannah Luse; step-daughter, Kendra Downey; step-son, Zachary Jensen, all of Amarillo; brother, Tom Luse and wife Karen of Kilbourne, LA; 2 nieces, Debbie Hamilton of Monroe, LA and Lori Horn and husband Bubba of Kilbourne, LA; nephew, Brad Luse and wife Tricia of Monroe, LA and his aunt, Bobbie Jean Starks of Idaho and many nieces and nephews.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Earlene Luse and son, Rick Luse and his beloved dog, Little Love Luse.
