Jack Sanders was born March 16, 1950, in Plainview Texas, to Dell and Elizabeth Sanders. He graduated from Tulia High School, in 1968, and briefly attended Texas Tech. Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 AM Friday October 17, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive with Kurt O'Heim officiating.
Jack departed this world on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the age of 75. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dell, and Elizabeth, his brother, James (Jimmy), his son, Eric, and his grandson, Daniel. He is survived by his daughter, and her husband, Marisa and Mark Pollock of Arkansas, his sons, Nathan and Caleb, his sister, MaryDell Young; his granddaughters, Amanda, Mackensi, and Genesis, and his soulmate, Domenica.
Jack touched so many lives with his infectious laugh, and witty humor. He spent the last 36 years helping other to gain, and maintain sobriety through local Alcoholics Anonymous clubs. Two days before he passed, barely able to speak, he helped a young man from the AA hot-line to find a club close to him. He expressed some regret that he couldn’t do more for this young man. Jack gave freely of his time, and wisdom to those who needed him in their sobriety journey, to the last days of his life.
Aside from helping others, Jack’s favorite past time was fishing. He relished the days spent on the water, whether he caught anything or not. He would always say “it’s called fishing, not catching”.
While Jack has left this world, his impact on the lives of those who he met will continue to grow, and spread, through the years. He truly was one of a kind.
