James "Jim" Homer Wright

James H. Wright Jr., 74, of Amarillo, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2018. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Crossroads Country Church, 14425 Washington St.with Bob Miller officiating. Jim was born September 12, 1943 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to James H. and Blanche Elizabeth Wright. Jim was drafted into The United States Army on July 30,1965 and served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. Jim loved the cowboy lifestyle though it eventually was not to be. However, his love of horses and the western way of life stayed with him always. Jim was a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan until the day he died. Jim was known for his charm and charisma, big heart, and love for Texas. Jim fought hard, but after a time succumbed to cancer. He is preceded in death by numerous family members. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra L. Wright; son, Bryson Wright and fiancée Brandi Whitten; and step-son Clayton Chance. No "Thank You" could covey The Family's gratitude to Interim Hospice for the loving and endless amount of care Jim received from each of them. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Interim Hospice, 3501 Soncy Road #134, Amarillo, Texas 79119.
