James M. “Jim” Hollabaugh, 82, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Jim was born November 9, 1942 in Shamrock, Texas to James and Ramah Hollabaugh. He graduated from Shamrock High School, and married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Mann on June 16, 1961 in McLean, Texas. Together, they raised their three kids, Ricky, Debbie and Darrin in Amarillo. They celebrated 60 years of marriage, before Pam’s passing in 2022.
Early on, Jim worked for the union and traveled extensively with that job. He became a master plumber, like his father and worked for G & W Plumbing and Everett’s Plumbing. Jim went on to open his own business, and has owned and operated Hollabaugh Plumbing for the last 48 years, working alongside both of his sons.
When he wasn’t working, Jim’s sanctuary was his backyard pond, which is home to many goldfish. He was always happy to help Pam with her gardening, building, creating and pretty much anything she needed him to do. He was an avid hunter of prairie dogs and loved riding 4-wheelers back in the day with his brother, Bobby. The whole family enjoyed many Lake Meredith weekends at a place that Jim and Pam owned. This included boating, jet skis, countless sunburns and great memories over the years. Jim was a member of Journey Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Pam Hollabaugh.
Survivors include two sons, Ricky Hollabaugh and Darrin Hollabaugh both of Amarillo; his daughter, Deborah Naugher and husband Bret of Amarillo; his brother, Bobby Hollabaugh and wife Glenda of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Serenity Swanson and husband Rocky, Brason Hollabaugh, Justin Hollabaugh and wife Erica, Marquis Naugher and wife Jensen, Chelsea Hollabaugh and husband Tyler Schafer, Hanna Malone and husband Ren, and Elizabeth Hollabaugh; and three great grandchildren, Harley, Dakota and Remi.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
