James Johnson

James was born on May 3, 1941 in America, OK to John and Nellie Johnson. He moved to Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1959. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge in 1960. He then enlisted and proudly served in the National Guards. James worked in the flooring business most of his life. He loved sports and was an avid baseball fan. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Kathy Mullins of Lubbock and Patricia Wetsel of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Brenda Lynch and husband Mike of Griffin, GA and Linda Carr of Griffin, GA; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Mullins and Nicholas Mullins of Lubbock; 2 great grandchildren, Gracie Mullins and Lily Mullins; son-in-law, Todd Mullins of Lubbock and his beloved dog, Tasha. James was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Johnsons, Jr.; brother, Jack Johnson and his sister, Mary Jane Gay.
