James "J.D." Patton

James was born January 1, 1983 in Amarillo to James Kenneth and Teresa Kelley Patton. He graduated from Caprock High School where he ran cross country. His mother gave him the name "Jaybird". He went on to serve his country with honor in the Marine Corps, serving two tours in Iraq. He loved sports of all kinds, but his favorite was football. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and was a loving son, father and friend. He enjoyed making people laugh and was a very inspirational person. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley McDaniels, grandfather, Thomas Patrick Kelley III, grandparents, Betty and Vick McCabe, grandfather, Jim Patton and by an uncle, Donald R. Holland. He is survived by his fiancé, Haven Lam of Lubbock, his children, Serenity Daelyn Patton and Delilah Jaylynn Patton both of Lubbock, his parents, James Kenneth and Teresa Kelley Patton of Amarillo, a daughter, Emma Ray Patton of Dallas, his brother, Adam Patton of Amarillo, his grandfather, Mike McDaniels and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
