Amarillo

Janie Sue Davis 68 of Amarillo passed away Sunday November 17, 2019. She was born December 10, 1950, in Ripley Tennessee to Mary Louise and Robert Edward Davis, Sr. Janie married the late James W. Lowin. Janie was a selfless servant, most of the minutes, hours, and days of her life were devoted to the kind service of others.  Her vocation was the presence of care and compassion. She was not interested in power, popularity, wealth, position, or prestige.  She embraced the simplicity of life, she loved the beauty in the details of God’s creation.  She helped provide for her family as a baker, chef, nurturer, and house cleaner; but found her place making a home for those she loved. Many of the jobs she held during her life were vehicles to manifest her creativity, care, warmth, and devotion and to make life better for others.  She was uniquely designed by God to be His hands and feet to people.

Janie is survived by her son Dr. Clinton W. Lowin, and spouse Amber Lowin, of Wiesbaden Germany; daughter Mindi L. Lowin, of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren Macy Brooke Moore, of Amarillo, TX;  Cade Christian Lowin, of Germany; Kailer Mackenzie Lowin, of Germany; Parkyr Elise Lowin, of Germany; Mikaela Noelle Lowin, of Germany; Lailah Grey Lowin, of Germany; sister Shirley Simpson married to Bill Simpson, of Amarillo; sister Cathy Adams, and the late Larry Adams, of Amarillo; sister Debbie Head, married to Mickey Head, of Amarillo; sister Annette Sartain, married to Calvin Sartain, of Amarillo; sister in Law Mary Davis, and the late Eddie Davis, of Amarillo.

She is preceded in death by her husband James William Lowin, of Amarillo, TX; brother Robert Edward Davis, of Amarillo, TX; brother Raymond Davis, Amarillo, TX.
