Jason Michael Kopp

Jason Michael Kopp, 20, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4317 I-40 with Pastor Bill Ivins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Dr. Jason was born May 21, 1998 in North Charleston, South Carolina. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 2016. He worked for Whataburger, and attended Amarillo College. Jason was a talented actor. He was very involved in theatre throughout high school and at Amarillo College. He also acted in productions at Amarillo Little Theatre and Amarillo Opera. He was a talented vocalist, winning 1st in state at UIL competition his senior year, of which he was very proud. Jason will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by a cousin, Corey Cummings; and three grandfathers, Chester Mack Cummings, Richard Kopp, and Eddie Jack Bragg. Survivors include his parents, Jason and Christina Bragg; two grandmothers, Joan Kopp of Summerville, SC, and Nancy Bragg of Amarillo; two brothers, Cody Kopp of Amarillo, and Trevor Bragg of Argyle; a sister, Taylor Bragg of Argyle; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family suggests memorials be made to the Amarillo College Theatre Arts Program, 2201 S. Washington, Amarillo, TX 79109.
