Jason Bryce Martin was born October 16th, 1972 in Amarillo, Texas to his parents Robert and Sharon Martin. After growing up in Amarillo and graduating from Amarillo High School, he went on to study at Texas Tech, then finished his degree at West Texas A&M University where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He met the love of his life, Landee in January of 1993. Jason had moved into the apartment upstairs, came down one day to introduce himself, and it was love at first sight. They later went on to marry August 25th, 1995. They had four beautiful children; Soren, Kale, and Hayz - and his first daughter, who preceded him in death named Maddisun Elane. Jason worked at BNSF as a conductor for over 25 years; in the Texas Panhandle, the international docks of California, and finally North Texas. During his time there he also taught their remote control classes. In addition, he helped his wife Landee with her business Tenderly Used which was a children’s consignment store in Amarillo. He loved watching ghost shows and movies with his family, working on cars and things around the house, and visiting the ocean when he could. Jason learned to snow ski at a very young age and was a talented skier. He loved playing games and spending time outside. He was also an exceptional whistler. Jason loved God and held Him dearly in his heart. He was very handy and could fix anything, and had an infectious laugh. Jason made everyone smile and laugh. He loved helping others. Jason had a silly side as well, whether it was playing pranks or having a sarcastic comeback. He was an amazing husband and dad, as well as son and brother. He lived for the Lord and his wife and children. He was truly the rock of the family and everyone knew they could count on him for anything.
He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Maddisun Elane; his grandparents, Waldon and Joyce Johnson; his grandmother, Janie Stratton; his aunt Janie Lee; his in-laws, Sherry and Butch Reeves; his father-in-law, John Cummings.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Landee; his daughter, Soren and partner Linus; his son, Kale and partner Becky; his son, Hayz; his fur baby, Bucky; his parents, Robert and Sharon; his sister, Megan and her husband Nick Looney; his nieces, Morgan and Molly Looney; his uncle, Terry and his wife Robin Johnson; his aunt, Alisha and her husband Dr. Eric Cato; his cousin, Ginny and her husband BJ Brooks and their daughter Dylan; Vance and Samantha Cato and their son Holden; and Taylor Cato.
