Jean Frost Long

Jean Frost Long, 83, of Amarillo, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017, at First Baptist Church Sanctuary, 1208 S. Tyler, with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 22, 2017 at Eastview Cemetery in Vernon under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm. Jean was born August 3, 1934 in Thalia, to Sim and Bonnie Ruth Gamble. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo and thoroughly enjoyed reading her bible. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, the husband of her children, Keith Frost and by a son, Barry Frost. She is survived by her sons, Danny Frost of Fritch and Timmy Frost and wife Gwen of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren, Amy Frost, Abby Denison, Todd Frost, Melanie Slaton, Daniel Frost, Michael Frost, Bradley Frost, Jeannie Burris and Stephen Frost; 12 great grandchildren, Barrett and Cori Denison, Hallee and Jaci Slaton, Baylee, Riley, Parker June, Eric and Kinley Frost, Jacob and Matthew Burris and Ella Frost; also surviving her are two siblings, Dorothy Mecaskey Wright of Amarillo and Mike Gamble of Quanah.
