Jeanne Jackson, 79, of Amarillo, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday September 19, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo with Pastor Murray Gossett officiating.

Jeanne was born April 28, 1941, to Howard and Ruth Brown in Amarillo. She attended high school in Hereford where she met her husband Donald. They married July 9, 1960 in Hereford and enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. Jeanne and her husband eventually made Amarillo their permanent home and chose to raise their children here. Jeanne was a hard worker, working with the Texas Wheat Producer Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. Jeanne also worked for AIG as the call center manager for nearly 15 years before she retired. She was an avid traveler going to places like Paris, and her favorite place Scotland; She loved all things Scottish. Jeanne enjoyed writing poetry and spending time with her family, they all will remember her as a loving person and a very lovable person. Jeanne was a natural-born helper.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; one aunt, Merle Ayer; and two great-grandchildren, Abbott Russell Wyatt and Avenly Rhys Wyatt.

Survivors include her husband Donald Jackson of the home; one son, Donald Edward Jackson, II and his wife Cindi of Galveston; one daughter, Donna Jeanne Zepp of Canyon; three grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Oaks and husband Aaron, Heidi Nicole Wyatt and husband Casey, and Zachary George Zepp and his girlfriend Grace; nine great-grandchildren, Hunter Oakes, Autumn Oakes, Korbyn Oakes, and Dekland Tate Oakes, Amiah Wyatt, Finnegan Wyatt, Emmerson Wyatt, Joshua Wyatt, and Arlo Wyatt; three cousins, Suzie Rather, Carol Crain, and Patsy O'Grady; and a close and dear friend, Dani Hermesmeyer.
