Jennifer Blackburn

Jennifer Blackburn of Amarillo, TX passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at the age 71. 

Jennifer was born to Matilda and Howard Card in 1954 in Newark, NJ. She was raised in Southern California where she went on to work as a stock broker and have her only daughter. She then moved to Texas in 1988 to raise her daughter closer to family where she resided until her passing. Jennifer was known for being a voracious reader, taking pride in her home garden, and her love of ice cream when it snowed. She was strong willed and intelligent, and lived life of her own accord. She fiercely loved and lived for her only grandchild, Brady Barnes of Amarillo.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father. 

She is survived by her daughter, Mollie Barnes and grandchild, Brady Barnes; her younger sister Catherine Lanham, husband Marks Lanham and their children; her youngest sister Virginia Shellman, husband Wirt Shellman, and their children.

She was loved and will be missed.
