Jerry Hammers

Jerry D. Hammers, 73, of Amarillo, known to his friends as Jay, died Monday June 28, 2021.  Private services will be held. Cremation and arrangements are by Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Jay was born on July 5, 1947, in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond C. Hammers and Terry O. Lovelady, a brother Rayburn Hammers and a son Gregory Hammers. He is survived by two sisters, Carolyn  Andrews, and husband Jerry of Dallas, TX, and Judy Walders, and husband Rick of Amarillo, TX.  He is survived by his long time companion Jo Lynn Rowland.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial gifts be made to cancer research or the charity of your choice.
