Jerry Lee, 74, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2024. Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday July 13, 2024 at Bolton Street Baptist Church, 2555 S. Bolton St. with Roger Shelton officiating. Family Graveside services will take place prior to the afternoon memorial service at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Jerry was born on March 18, 1950 in Spur, Texas to Charles and Gladys Lee. He graduated from high school and obtained his Associate’s degree. Jerry married his sweetheart, Pam Cox on June 21, 1975; together they have celebrated 49 years of marriage. Jerry worked as a freight truck driver for most of his life and ended his career with the City of Amarillo before he retired. He has been a long time member of Bolton Street Baptist Church. Jerry taught Sunday school for 33 years to the Couples II class and then, as he lovingly referred to as “His Little Old Ladies”. He also enjoyed singing in the church choir. Jerry was a sportsman at heart, playing all sports in school as a child and carried on that passion into his adult years. He played golf and enjoyed bowling in his free time. Jerry was a talented musician and had a passion for oil painting. He was loved by many and will be missed.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles “Sonny” Lee and one sister, Debra Browning.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Lee of the home; two sons, Brian Lee and wife Kaci of Plainview and Toby Lee of Amarillo; two brothers, Kenneth Lee and wife Lisette, Rickey Lee and wife Carolyn; his father in law, Robert Cox; two sisters in law, Carolyn Lee and Kathy Armstrong; one brother in law, Larry Cox and wife Margaret. Survivors also include a host of extended family, his church family and close friends.
