Jerry Frank Schulze, 73, of Snyder, TX, passed away on April 13, 2016 peacefully in his sleep.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 PM on May 7, 2016 at the Schulze family plot in the Hermliegh Cemetery.
Jerry was born in Sweetwater, Texas on December 22, 1942. He graduated from Hermliegh High School in 1961. Later in life, he returned to Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas to receive an Associate's of Applied Science Degree.
Jerry was a firefighter most of his career life and retired through the State of Texas. He enjoyed fishing, watching football & old westerns and spending time with friends and family over a cup of coffee. He also coached youth football for many years and was a member of the Elks Lodge.
Jerry is survived by his daughter and granddaughter Dana and Jordan Brittenham of Amarillo, TX; his two sons Jerry and Kevin; his daughter DeQuita and their children; his brother, Richard Schulze and three sisters, Karen and Don Bollinger, Theresa Johnson and Emily and Paul Luna all of Snyder, TX; his many dear nieces and nephews; and many more relatives and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Schulze and Francis (Kocks) Schulze; as well as his brother, David J. Schulze; brother-in-law Paul Johnson; and his niece, Kelly Southerland.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the GBS-CIDP Foundation International www.gbs-cidp.org. Your donation will help to provide patients, such as Jerry, who are afflicted with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, CIDP or variants with access to early and accurate diagnosis, appropriate and affordable treatments and dependable support services.
