Jerry Seitz

Gerald Lee "Jerry" Seitz Jr. was born on July 21, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Gerald and Nadine Seitz. He was a lifelong resident of Amarillo where he attended Tascosa High School as well as Amarillo College. Jerry married the love of his life, Denise Rarick on June 7, 1974 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He worked for many years with his family at his father's business, Herzfeld's Beauty Supply. Jerry loved life and was a true adventurer. He had a great love for the outdoors, the river, motorcycles and 4 wheel drive vehicles. He loved to go fast and climb high. More than anything, he loved being a husband and a dad. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Denise on January 14, 2010, his son, Brian Seitz on May 2, 2007 and by his mother on December 5, 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Shanna Rider and husband Klint , one son, Shane Seitz all of Amarillo, his daughter in law, Codi Seitz of Oregon. His father, Gerald Seitz of Amarillo, one brother, Kenny Seitz and wife Rose of Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma and by his sister, Sheri Boswell and her husband Brad of Rogersville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Alex, Ivey, Kaiden, Isabelle, Karma, Eric, Korbin and Faith.
