Jerry Turk

Jerry Turk, 74, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, Nov 6, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Jerry was born August 21, 1942 in Red River County, Texas to Tracy and Lucille Turk. He graduated from Childress High School. Jerry and his wife Dana married on August 31, 1973 in Childress. Jerry worked in auto sales for more 45 years. He was a car salesman for several Amarillo dealerships, then worked as an independent wholesaler for the last 20 years of his career. Jerry enjoyed gambling. He liked going to Las Vegas, and to the horse races. Survivors include his wife, Dana Turk; one son, Tony Weir and wife Caroline of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Deborah Turk, and a brother, Delbert Turk. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Washington Ave. Christian Church, 3800 S. Washington St. Amarillo, TX 79110.
