Jesse "J.D." Donald Wiley

JD was born in Haslet on July 4, 1927, to William Oliver and Nina Harris Wiley. He served his country in the army and married Pat Martin on February 22, 1956 in Belen, NM. He retired from the AT & SF Railroad after 50 years. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing bridge and was a golden life member of the A.C.B.L. He was truly a family man and family gatherings brought him much joy. The family would like to give a special thanks to all those who helped take care of and support JD in his last days. He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and sisters, and by a niece, Lou Ann Brownell. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Pat; his children, Wayne Wiley and wife Pam, Weldon Wiley, Wesley Wiley and Dale Wiley and his life partner Laura Brown all of Amarillo; by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his siblings, Nina Muriel Davis of Brownwood, Herman Wiley, Wilma Ruth Harris and husband Billy Jack all of Amarillo; also surviving him are numerous other family and friends. The family suggests memorials be to Friendship Baptist Church, 2400 S. Arthur, Amarillo, TX 79103 or a charity of your choice.
