Jessie Brown

Jessie Brown, 69, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Jessie will be available for viewing on Thursday from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 3, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive with Pastor Doug Gehm of Grace Church officiating. Graveside services will take place at 1:30 PM Friday at Memory Garden’s cemetery in Pampa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Jessie was born on January 9, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas to Robert and Thelma Fick. She enjoyed nature and could often be found outside in her garden, pulling weeds and tending to her roses and tomato plants. Jessie was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. She loved her dogs, “Rosie” and “Annie”. Her faith was the foundation of the way Jessie lived her life; she was heavily involved in her church women’s group and Bible studies. Jessie attended Grace Church and The Loft. She loved to help others, and did so working as a nurse for many years and as an EMT. She was a lifetime member of the Skellytown Fire Department. She was loved by so many, and will be deeply missed.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe Fick.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Brown of the home; one brother, Robert Fick of Pampa; one son, Michael Poole of Champaign, IL; one daughter, Kathy Hicks and husband William of Skellytown; six grandchildren, Sam Poole, Jacob Poole, Chad Wade, Chess Wade, Shelbi Hunt, and Kristen Cooper; nieces, Ashley Fick and Abby Resendiz; nephews, Josh Fick, Jesse Fick and Tristan Bennett; a close friend, Anne Brown of Midland. Survivors also include a host of extended family and close friends.
