Jim Douglas Sherrill

Jim was born September 18, 1943 in Holdenville, OK to Evelyn Ruth and Benjamin Douglas Sherrill. He graduated from Shawnee High School in Shawnee, OK. He served his country with both the army and air force reserves during the Vietnam Era. On February 12, 1965, he married the love of his life, Linda Mosely in Tulsa. Together, they shared 50 years of marriage, until he succumbed to cancer. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, racing moto cross in Tulsa and enduro cross in Amarillo. He was passionate about fishing as well, having been in several tournaments. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Joe. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; his children, Carrie Baltazar of Japan, Michelle Sherrill and Stacey Griffin of Amarillo, Eric Sherrill and wife Kristi of Amarillo, and Stephanie Fitzpatrick of Colorado; he is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren as well as several other family members and a host of friends.
