Jimmie C. Parker

Jimmie C. Parker, 78, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 27, 2021 at Llano Cemetery.

Jimmie was born May 2, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas to Steve and Annie Mae Parker. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1961. He proudly served as a military policeman in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jimmie worked for the City of Amarillo for 20 years as a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, dancing, and fishing. He loved going to Las Vegas with his family to gamble. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at BSA Hospital for their care of Jimmie during his illness.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a sister, Jo Ann Martin of Amarillo; two nephews, Ricky Martin of Amarillo, and Gary Martin of Wichita Falls, TX; and his best friend, Joe Kautchick.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels; or to the VFW.
