Jimmy Lee "Jim" Brewer, 67, died Monday, April 7, 2014.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. John Love officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Jimmy Lee Brewer was born Nov. 23, 1946, in Amarillo, the second son of Howard and Jaquelyn Brewer. Jim joined the Army in March 1967, where he voluntarily served in the Vietnam War.
Upon his discharge, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree at West Texas State University. Jim married Trish McDuffee on Nov. 2, 1974. Their son, Joshua Lee Brewer, was born Oct. 13, 1978.
Jim began his career at Southwestern Public Service in October 1976, and retired on Jan. 1, 2009. Jim enjoyed taking care of his dogs and the lawn. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and cheered on the Texas Rangers. Jim was well-known and loved for his joking nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother, Howard Brewer Jr.
Survivors include his bride of 40 years, Trish; a son, Staff Sgt. Josh Brewer and wife Elyse of the Marine Corps; and two granddaughters, Emily and Lilyana.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
