Jimmy Lee Sartain Passed away on Monday, February 1, 2022. No services are scheduled at this time. The family will have a private burial in Amarillo. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral home.

Jim was born on November 7, 1941 to Willie Lee and Laura (Smithey) Sartain in Clayton, NM; he was the youngest of 13 children. He joined the United States Navy and was scheduled to finish his tour when he was “Froze” in until the end of the Cuban Crisis. Upon his release in Boston, Massachusetts he met and married his wife Ann Bartlett. The two made their way to Amarillo where Jim attended Amarillo College and enjoyed working and designing buildings.

Jim is Survived by his wife, Ann Sartain of the home; one daughter, Lori Turner (Jesse); grandson, Will Dodson; granddaughter, Christen (Dylan); great grandchildren, Shea Duke, Ella Duke and Ryder Duke and two bonus granddaughters, Amanda Bell (Tyler) and Julie McCarty (Tyler); great grandchildren, Journey Bell, Keithin Bell, Baylee Bell, Jenni Bell, Jake McCarty, Brylee Brim, Aislinn Brim and Ellison McCarty.
