Jo Ann Bailey

Jo Ann Bailey, 79, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 in Borger. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Jo Ann was born on August 3, 1941 in Long Beach, California to Sherman and Edith Gill. Jo Ann met the love of her life, James Bailey, of 63 years at Pampa High School in 1957. Together they had three beautiful children. Jo Ann was a retired secretary, had a ferocious love of her crafts, which she always mastered. She knitted socks for soldiers and crocheted hats for babies for local hospitals; Jo Ann enjoyed crochet, cross stitching and knitting. Her pieces were beautifully done with perfection. Jo Ann also learned how to operate a computer before they were even a thing. She had a love for the conversations she and James would have. She also had a love for traveling as she and James would venture to the mountains and to the ocean.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, James Bailey of the home; three children, Deborah Ann, Mark Weldon and James Alan; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
