Jo Nell Whisenand

Jo Nell was born on September 8, 1927 in Dalhart to Martin and Bessie Sewell. She married Richard E. Whisenand on March 22, 1947 in Amarillo. The two of them shared over 67 years of marriage. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, and was a loving and supportive mother to her three daughters. She was also a loyal friend to all and the best friend anyone could ever ask for. Most of all, Jo Nell's legacy is her love and devotion to her family and friends. She is survived by husband, Richard Whisenand of Amarillo; daughters, Dianne, Debby, and Nancy Whisenand all of Amarillo; two grandsons Sam and Ben Lawson; four great-grandchildren, and many beloved family and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dawn and Interim Hospice for the exceptional love and care bestowed upon Jo Nell throughout her illness.
