Joann Barrick

Joann Barrick, 79, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 15, 2020. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Llano East Cemetery. Joann Barrick was born November 12, 1940 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Ed and Alice Weckner. She graduated from high school in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She married Bennie Barrick on June 9, 1970 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Joann dedicated her life to caring for her family. She worked for the Hereford Police Department and Taylor Food Mart. In her spare time, Joann enjoyed antiquing and cooking. She was an excellent cook. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Joann was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Haley Singer; a great-grandson, Peyton Hemple; a sister, Sissy Pedigo; and two brothers, Bobby Mason, and Sonny Mason. Survivors include her husband, Bennie Barrick; a daughter, Kelly Livingston and husband Steven Phillips of Amarillo; a son, Brett Barrick and wife Mary Helen of Dallas; a sister, Donna Keller and husband Lanny of Yukon, OK; three grandchildren, Meghan, Erin, and Shannon; and six great-grandchildren.
