Joann Lemoine

Joann Lemoine, 88, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Memorial Services will be Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Lamont Street Baptist Church, 8400 Lamount Dr. with Pastor Glen Switzer officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Joann was born in Pampa to Presley and Juanita Fowler on May 8, 1936. She has been a part of the Amarillo community since 1989 and considered her time in Amarillo as one of the happiest in her life. She was an avid world traveler, tenderhearted, and known for her sweet personality. Joann was a talented quilt maker, sewing over 75 quilts. She spent much of her spare time sewing quilts with her best friends and sister, Jean.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Jean Johnson, Linda Fowler, and Betty Fowler; and three brothers, Buster Fowler, and John Fowler.

Survivors include her two nieces, Becky Blackwell and husband Tom of Amarillo, Chris Tumlinson and husband Danny Goodwin also of Amarillo; her son, David Lemoine of Dover, Arkansas; her brothers, Kenneth Fowler and wife Charlotte of Aurora, Colorado; four grandchildren; and a host of extended family members.
