Joel Manuel De Lacruz Jr.

Joel Manuel De La Cruz JR, 31, of Amarillo passed away on April 23, 2025. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday May 2, 2025 at Llano East Cemetery, 2900 S. Hayes with Pastor Billy Snider officiating. The family will be accepting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday May 1, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Joel was born on July 2, 1993 in Amarillo, TX to Christina Ramonez and Joel De La Cruz SR. He attended and graduated from Caprock High School. Joel was a member of San Jacinto Assembly of God. He participated in the Special Olympics, competing in basketball, bowling and track events. Joel was an avid Anime fan, he especially loved Naruto. He enjoyed playing video games whenever he could. Joel loved watching Wrestle Mania with his family. He enjoyed walking, he would walk about everywhere if he could. Joel loved eating pepperoni pizza or noodles. He was a huge super hero fan. Joel will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Ernestine and Manuel De La Cruz; his sister, Samantha De La Cruz; his grandmother, Ruth Jimenez.

Survivors include his grandfather, Johnny Jimenz; his parents, Joel De La Cruz Sr and Christina Ramonez; his six siblings, Myriah Chavez and Rusty Vasquez; Oscar De La Cruz; Mia De La Cruz; Sebastin De La Cruz; Lexi Nicole; and Miranda Ramos all of Amarillo; his 10 neices and nephews; his best friend, Toby Zubia. Survivors also include a host of other family members and dear friends.
