Joey Luna

Joey Luna, 56, of Amarillo passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018. Funeral Services will at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 I-40 East. Joey was born August 10, 1961 in Dilley, Texas to Guadalupe Luna and Isabel Rodriguez Luna. Joey graduated from Floydada High School in 1981. He was an avid football fan that loved his Dallas Cowboys. Joey enjoyed cooking out, watching WWE wrestling, M*A*S*H, and old westerns. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Joey will be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle and grandpa. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Joey was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Joey Luna of Amarillo; daughter, Brittany Parker of Amarillo; sisters, Ester Sosa of Amarillo, Belma Salazar of Grand Prairie, TX, Rosie Lewis and husband Jack of Amarillo; brothers, Ricky Luna of Roanoke, TX and Ben Luna of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Braeden Torrez, Amber Kilpatrick, Eric Salazar and R.J. Salazar all of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
