John Garret Jacob, 56, of Boynton Beach, Florida died Saturday, December 9th, 2017.
Services will be held in Florida.
John was born January 15, 1961, in Amarillo, Texas to Billy Jack and GradyAnne Jacob. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School in 1979. John worked at Fashion Optical in Amarillo where he was trained by Rick Blankenship and Larry Singleton - two men he greatly respected. John moved to Dallas where he worked for Omega Optical for several years and then relocated to Florida.
John loved snow skiing - which he missed while living in Florida. He was a fantastic father to his 3 children, a great brother to his siblings and a loyal son to his mom. His brother writes "John Jacob has gone to be with his Lord Jesus, passing in his sleep."
John was preceded in death by his father, Billy Jack Jacob and a nephew, Connor Jacob.
Survivors include his daughters, Lauren Jacob and Madison Jacob and a son, Adam Jacob, all of Florida; two grandchildren, Ossian and Oakli, of Florida; his mother, GradyAnne Jacob of Amarillo; sisters, Cathy Lamberth and husband "J", Linda Richardson and husband, Bill; a brother, Brian Jacob and wife, Lynae', all of Amarillo and his very dear friend, Todd Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Washington Avenue Christian Church outreach ministries, 3800 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX, 79110.
