John Stone

John Stone, 54, of Amarillo passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019. Memorial services will be at 2:00 Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Cox- Rowley Funeral Home. John was born December 21, 1964 in Mildenhall, England to Billy and Brenda Stone. John grew up all over the world before coming to Amarillo in 1975. He loved art, reading and music, especially playing his bass guitar. John was very artistic and belonged to the Aardvark Band. He earned two degrees from Amarillo College in Art and Photography. John was a loving man with a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He cherished spending time with his family and friends. John will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. John is survived by his parents, Bill and Brenda Stone; two sisters, Debbie Hansen and husband Dwight and Kimberly Whipkey; five nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and nephews.
