Jonathan was born May 1, 2005 in Alpine, Texas. He was in the 6th grade at Crockett Middle School. Jon-Jon was an active young man who enjoyed the outdoors. He worked on building a go-cart with his dad, and loved bicycling. He was an avid hockey fan. He was member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 80. Jon-Jon loved Jesus and his family. He had a heart for people, and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Survivors include his parents, Patrick and Pamela Counterman of Amarillo; a sister, Lyndsey Counterman of Amarillo; two brothers, Mark Counterman and Joseph Counterman, both of Amarillo; his grandparents, Jaye Gunn of Amarillo, Dwayne and Ana Lili Cook of Perryton, and Clarence Woodson of Muleshoe; his great-grandmother, Charlene Cook of Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
