Josh Combs

Josh Combs, 49, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at South Georgia Church of the Nazarene, 5016 Susan Dr. with Bro. Lowell Schmidt officiating. Arrangements are by Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Josh was born July 15, 1976 in Amarillo, Texas. He grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Caprock High School in 1996. He worked for Love’s Truck Stop for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed smoking meat and BBQ’ing. He liked watching football and going to rodeos. Josh was a very genuine person who appreciated the opportunity to help people. He was always the organized planner for the family vacations. He definitely had the Irish stubborn streak. Josh loved animals, mostly dogs, and he even had some snakes back in the day. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Josh was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Combs in 2020.

Survivors include his wife, Shena Combs of Amarillo; two daughters, Ariel Combs and fiancé Max Harris, and Bobbie Combs all of Amarillo; a son, Xavier Combs of Amarillo; a brother, Charles Claytor of Canyon; a sister, Jessica Maestas of Amarillo; and his precious granddaughter, Iris Harris.
