Joshua Dufur

Joshua Dufur, 26, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. There are no services scheduled at this time.

Joshua was born December 30, 1995 in Amarillo, Texas to Daryl “Chip” Dufur and Jonell Dufur. He graduated from Dalhart High School, and went on to earn a bachelor degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Texas A&M University at College Station, graduating in 2018. Joshua had just landed his dream job in his field of study at Food Safety Net Services, which he loved. Prior to that, he had spent several years working at LaQuinta in Dalhart. Joshua was a highly intelligent person. He enjoyed writing, reading and all things sci-fi and fantasy, especially dragons. He loved listening to music, and was an avid animal lover. He will be especially missed by his beloved tuxedo cat, Aggie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chip Dufur; his grandmother, Betty Mae Dufur; and grandparents, Bunny and Billy Barnum.

Survivors include his mother, Jonell Dufur of Canyon, TX; and his grandparents, Willis Dufur of Amarillo, and Gary and Carol Berton of Tennessee.
