Joy Gale Graham, 87, of Amarillo, passed away on August 18, 2026. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, August 21, 2026, at Arena of Life Church, 8827 S Washington with Pastor Ty Jones officiating.
Joy was born on May 1, 1939, in Paducah, Texas, to Aaron and Johnnie Bolt. She attended Amarillo High School and later met the love of her life, Robert Alvis Graham. The two were wed on January 28, 1960, in Amarillo, beginning a beautiful life together. They celebrated 49 years together before his passing.
A woman of deep faith and a member of the Cowboy Church, Joy truly loved life and all of God’s creation, striving to love everyone just as Jesus did. She was the ultimate lady, yet possessed a spirited passion for racing, and the Dallas Cowboys. Her immense creativity shone through her music, her art, and her stunning jewelry designs. Joy also had a profound love for animals of all kinds.
She will be remembered for her creative spirit, her unique passions, and her unwavering kindness.
Joy is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Willis Bolt; her granddaughter, Tiffani Gaut; her loving husband, Alvis.
She is survived by her children, Penny Edmiston and husband Ronnie of Amarillo, TX; Carol Burnett and husband Kim of Memphis, TX; Robert C. Graham of Pottsboro, TX; her four grandchildren, Tami Gaut; Janea Robinson and husband John; Robby Tucker and wife Jenny; John Craig Graham and wife Shanna; her 14 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include a host of other family members and dear friends.
