Joyce Cheek

Joyce was born on May 25, 1932 in Tulia to M.W. "Bob" and Pearl Turner. She moved to Amarillo as a child, where she graduated from Amarillo High School in 1950. She married Ernest R. Cheek on May 29, 1965. He preceded her in death in 1991. Joyce worked as a cashier for American National Insurance Company for over 12 years before working as an administrative assistant for Emergency Management Systems through Northwest Texas Hospital for 12 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bobbie Allen in 2007: husband, Ernest Cheek and son, Lindy "Bob" Stuart. She is survived by her son, Kelly Dee Stuart of Austin; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Stuart of Austin and 7 grandchildren, Emily, Joe, Jesse, Shaun, Casey, Jamie and husband Bob and Mitchell and wife Elise.
