Juanita Conley

August 26, 1938 — May 17, 2016

Juanita "Mimi" Conley was born in Kenefic, Oklahoma, to Vernie L. Sons and Marie Sons. Mimi was the loving wife to Bob Conley of Amarillo, Texas. She was employed by C.R. Anthony's as a bookkeeper and at BSA Healthcare System in the Radiology Department. She later joined her husband working in the oil and gas industry. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a proud member of Paramount Baptist Church for 45 years. She loved her Lord and Savior. Mimi was married to her loving husband, Bob, for 59 wonderful years. Her family and friends were the absolute loves of her life. She could always be found in her sanctuary, the kitchen, baking one of her many unforgettable dishes. She also loved flowers and enjoyed gardening with her son-in-law, Pierce. She was beloved by all her friends, family and colleagues. She endearingly called everyone, "Baby", which melted any heart. She was devoted to her relationships with childhood friends and loved ones. Her attributes included her selflessness, unending wisdom, guidance and support. She also had the wittiest personality. Her bright smile and warm embrace made even the roughest days better. To her family she was and still is the most precious thing that has ever happened in their lives. Her life serves as an inspirational example of her love and devotion to being the best, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mimi truly left a legacy of love. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Charlene Sweeney and brother, Jerry Sons. Mimi is survived by her husband, Bob Conley, of Amarillo; her daughter, Kris Pillon and husband, Pierce Pillon of Amarillo; her daughter, Robin McWherter of Chicago; her grandchildren, Whitney Helton and husband, Dwayne Helton of Amarillo; Jordan Walls of Amarillo; Logan McWherter and her fiancé, Tyler Ridgeway of Chicago; a great grandchild, Emma Kathleen Helton of Amarillo; along with two nieces of Amarillo.
