Estella June Chambers, 87, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 24, 2023. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 04, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive with Pastor Randy Davis and Pastor Danny Logan officiating. June will lie in state on Friday, March 03, 2023, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM for anyone who would like to pay their respects at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
June was born on June 01, 1935 in Apache, Oklahoma to William and Mabel Harper. She graduated from Panhandle High school. June was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed arts and crafts, mainly sewing and needle work in her younger days. June was an avid photographer and enjoyed fishing as well. She liked to travel with her family, going to places like Red River and all the way to Hawaii. June enjoyed spending all of her spare time with her family and being surrounded by those she loved the most. She was loved and will be missed.
June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Chambers; her sister, Jo Ann Imke and her husband, Lyndon Imke; two sons, Joe and Jason Davis.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Sitch and husband Warren of Austin; one sister, Jenny Scholl and husband Bill of Amarillo; one daughter-in-law, Peni Davis; four grandchildren, Roxanne Dean and husband Alex, Heath Davis and wife Carla, Shanda Reid, Jon Davis and his wife Megan; step-granddaughter, Brittany Chambers; six great- grandchildren, Izzy, Kenna, Brinley, Tatem, Zoey and Dax and four great-great grandchildren; two nephews, Marcus Melton and Charles Imke; one niece, Lyndonna Williams; and step-daughter, Betty Waddell.
